What you have in your kit, along with your plan and skills, is what you will have to survive in the event of an emergency.

First aid is the immediate care given to a person who is injured or ill.

With severe weather being one of our yearround hazards in southern Oregon, having adequate shelter is a year-round concern.

Having clean and safe water in an emergency situation to meet drinking, sanitation and hygiene needs is essential for every person .

Know how to properly dispose of human waste (i.e. a two-bucket system - see below) and sanitize all necessary items in order to avoid infection and spread of disease.
