Fire season is here and we need your help!

Have you ever wondered what we do in the Emergency Operations Center during a fire, winter storm or other evacuation event? Have you ever thought about getting involved and helping your community? We are here to make your dreams come true (just those dreams)!

Emergency Management is looking for volunteers who are good with people, have customer service experience and feel confident on a computer -- these people are like mythical beings, community service ninja warriors! These warriors will be trainded to take calls, check the status of/make updates to Citizen Alert accounts, provide information about the current event and inform people about their evacuation level and where to go for help during the disaster. Our ninjas may also help with parking at events (such as vaccination clinics), staffing at temporary evacuation points or helping with our emergency preparedness training.

In return for you service, you will get a good fuzzy feeling, more high fives than those who don't help, free food (most of the time), free coffee and sometimes you'll even get to wear a super cool vest that you can use as a cape! What more could you want?

If you are interested in being awesome, please download and fill out the volunteer application below today! Mail or deliver your application to:
