PGE in the Portland area is encouraging folks to get ready for winter power outages. While we aren't in the same region, the advice should still be taken. Put together some simple, easy to access supplies somewhere you can reach safely in the dark. Prepare an outage kit that includes: o Flashlight or headlamps o Battery-powered or hand crank radio and alarm clock or watch o Car charger for your cell phone, laptops and/or tablets o 72-hour supply of ready-to-eat food and water (1 gallon per person and pet per day) o Extra blankets For complete kit supplies lists visit www.rvem.org
